Authorship Criteria

Ansis Publications follows internationally accepted authorship standards to ensure transparency, accountability, and appropriate recognition of scholarly contributions. All listed authors must have contributed sufficiently to the work to take collective responsibility for its content.

Criteria for Authorship

Authorship credit should be based on all of the following four criteria:

  • Substantial Contribution Significant contribution to at least one of the following:
    • Conception or design of the study
    • Acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data
  • Manuscript Preparation
Participation in drafting the manuscript or revising it critically for important intellectual content.
  • Final Approval
Review and approval of the final version of the manuscript prior to submission.
  • Accountability
Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work and to ensure that questions related to accuracy or integrity are appropriately investigated and resolved.

Individuals who do not meet all four criteria should not be listed as authors.

Contributors and Acknowledgements

Individuals who contributed to the work but do not qualify for authorship such as those involved only in funding acquisition, data collection, technical support, language editing, or general supervision should be acknowledged in the Acknowledgements section, with their permission.

Corresponding Author Responsibilities

The corresponding author is responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all listed authors meet the authorship criteria
  • Confirming that all authors have reviewed and approved the final manuscript
  • Managing all communication with the journal during submission, peer review, and publication
  • Overseeing administrative requirements, including ethics approvals, trial registration (if applicable), and conflict-of-interest disclosures

These responsibilities may be delegated to co-authors where appropriate, but overall accountability remains with the corresponding author.

Author Contributions Statement

Ansis Publications requires an Author Contributions Statement describing each author’s specific role in the research and manuscript preparation. This statement is published with the article to promote transparency.

Changes to Authorship
  • Requests to add, remove, or reorder authors after submission must:
    • Be submitted in writing by the corresponding author
    • Include a clear and detailed justification
    • Be approved by all authors, including those being added or removed
  • Removal of an author requires written consent from the individual concerned.
  • Changes to authorship after acceptance are permitted only in exceptional circumstances and are subject to editorial approval.

Authors are strongly advised to finalize the authorship list and contributions before submission.

Authorship Disputes
  • Authorship disputes must be resolved by the authors’ institutions.
  • The journal does not adjudicate authorship disputes but may suspend or withdraw the review or publication process if concerns arise.
  • Ansis Publications follows COPE guidelines when handling authorship-related issues.
Unethical Authorship Practices

The following practices are not permitted:

  • Guest authorship (listing individuals who did not contribute)
  • Ghost authorship (excluding individuals who made substantial contributions)
  • Gift authorship (adding authors due to position, seniority, or favor)

Manuscripts found to involve unethical authorship practices may be rejected, corrected, or retracted.
